Get ready for what we
expect will be the sound of the summer, because Calvin Harris has dropped his album release date and a whole host of big-name
collaborations.
Announcing it on Twitter, Calvin shared a little taste of his new music,
along with: "ALBUM COMING JUNE 30."
Just in time for the summer, Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1 will include collabs with Frank Ocean, Pharrell, Katy Perry, Ariana Grande & Snoop.
Also on the line-up are
Travis Scott, Future, Big Sean, John Legend, Nicki Minaj and PARTYNEXTDOOR, so we reckon there are a lot of potential number one
tracks in the mix.
Which
is good news for Calvin, especially considering those mixed feelings he
has about Ed Sheeran's seemingly never-ending chart domination.
After
Ed broke Calvin's previous record of scoring nine top 10 singles from
one album, the producer took to Twitter to congratulate Ed – and tell him off for it, too lol.
"Ed Sheeran just beat my
UK record top 10s from 1 album in ONE WEEK," he wrote. "Congrats Ed but
also f**k you I love you but also f**k you."
Ed's latest record-breaking album ÷ shifted 672,000 copies in a week, making it the fastest-selling album by a male solo artist ever and the third fastest-selling overall in the first week.
Could
you imagine what the charts would look like if Ed and Calvin
collaborated? Get on it, boys – you'd probably make history or
something.
