Eminem Sold More Albums Than Any Other Artist In 2018

BuzzAngle Music’s annual year-end music report has revealed Eminem sold more albums than any other artist in 2018.

According to the data, Slim Shady is at the top of the list with a pure album sales total of 755,027 units. Roughly half of those numbers are attributed to Kamikaze, Em’s 10th studio album.

South Korean boy band BTS landed in the No. 2 spot with 603,307 total units, while country star Chris Stapleton settled in at No. 3 with 577,287.

Em also ranked at No. 4 in the Total Consumption category, trailing behind Drake (No. 1), Post Malone (No. 2) and XXXTENTACION (No. 4).

The Detroit-bred rap behemoth succeeded in the streaming category as well. With more than 2.5 billion streams, he reached the No. 4 spot.

Kamikaze was streamed over 760 million times and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart following last August’s release.

It also kicked off the highly publicized beef between Em and Machine Gun Kelly. As a result, MGK fired off the “Rap Devil” diss track & Em retaliated with “Killshot.” The latter marked YouTube’s biggest Hip Hop video debut in the platform’s history.
